The experience
An engagement session gives you time together in front of the camera without the pace and pressure of the wedding day. Our photographers build the shoot gradually, creating close portraits, full-length images and relaxed moments that show your connection.
The finished photographs can be kept as personal portraits or used for engagement announcements, save-the-date cards and wedding invitations. Family members can also join part of the session when you want to share the celebration.
Plan the session
Practical ideas selected specifically for an engagement announcement, from what to bring to how the finished photographs can be enjoyed.
Research a few couple poses you both like, then try them at home so they feel familiar rather than staged. Coordinated or complementary outfits photograph beautifully, while flowers, a blanket, the ring or another meaningful object can give the session a personal thread.
A professional makeup artist can be arranged before the shoot, or you can arrive with hair and makeup completed. Let us know which option you prefer so the studio schedule allows enough preparation time.
Selected portraits can be supplied for digital use and turned into canvases, photobooks, prints, posters, calendars and personalised gifts. Engagement vouchers are available when friends or family would like to give the session as a present.
